Randall W. Robinson served as the President of SC National Guard Federal Credit Union from 1990 until his retirement in 2019. Under his leadership, the Credit Union experienced tremendous growth. The Credit Union was more than a job to him. He wanted to make an impact in the lives of the men and women of the South Carolina National Guard. Randall passed away in 2025, but his legacy lives on in many ways.
Known affectionately as Big R, Randall had many passions in life. He loved helping people, whether he was sitting down to assist a member with a loan or serving in leadership roles at his church. Often found running, at the gym, or on the golf course, he was a big believer in staying active. And Big R never shied away from a good time with those he loved.
Randall also loved investing in young people. He was always willing to share advice with young members and employees alike. He also spent many hours serving as a mentor to youth and as an Upward Basketball referee.
When considering how to best honor Randall Robinson’s legacy, a summer camp scholarship to National Guard families seemed like the perfect fit.
